68-foot spruce from Sault Ste. Marie picked as 2025 State Tree

LANSING, Mich. – The Michigan Department of Technology, Management, and Budget (DTMB) has selected the 2025 state Christmas tree.
A 68-foot spruce from Sault Ste. Marie was chosen to light up our State Capitol. The DTMB says the tree will be harvested later this month. The spruce will arrive in Downtown Lansing on Saturday, November 1.

There is, undoubtedly, a restaurant boom happening in the greater Lansing area this year. We’re only partway through 2025, and we’ve already seen over 35 restaurants, cafés, bakeries, and more open their doors. Now, we can add another one to the list.
