New Downtown Businesses to Watch in 2026

Ribbon

Downtown Lansing is set to welcome three new businesses in 2026, bringing bold flavors and a unique lounge experience to the area.

Sea Leveaux

Sea Leveaux is a new seafood restaurant preparing to open at 200 S. Washington Square, in the former Grand Traverse Pie Company location. The fast-casual spot will feature Cajun-style seafood boils, including favorites like crab legs and other classic options.
Focused on bold Cajun flavors with a modern twist, Sea Leveaux aims to offer a casual, approachable dining experience using high-quality ingredients. An opening date has not yet been announced, but the restaurant is expected to add a fresh option to downtown’s dining scene.

Churchill’s Bistro & Cigar Bar

Churchill’s Bistro & Cigar Bar is coming soon to 111 E. Michigan Ave., Lansing. The new bistro will feature a curated selection of rare and hard-to-find cigars, along with options for a range of budgets.

With stylish décor and a welcoming atmosphere, Churchill’s Bistro & Cigar Bar will offer a dining and lounge experience found in only a few places worldwide. The space is expected to become a new destination for those looking to unwind and enjoy a refined evening downtown.

Babes Corner

Relocating inside the popular downtown hang spot, Strange Matter Coffee Co., Babe’s Corner will be opening in 2026. One of Lansing’s favorite sandwich shops, this move will bring Babe’s alongside Bangos as a new, delicious addition to Michigan’s Downtown, right at the corner of Washington and Kalamazoo Avenues.
