It will be located at 425 South Grand Avenue, across from the CATA Transportation Center and near the historic Cherry Hill neighborhood.

LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - Lansing’s skyline will have a new look in the not-too-distant future.
Contractors broke ground today to begin building ‘Tower on Grand’, a new apartment building coming to downtown Lansing.
The building will be over 300 feet tall with 28 stories.

LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - More affordable housing will be coming to Downtown Lansing.
The Lansing Housing Commission broke ground on two new apartment buildings: Riverview 220 and Grand Vista Place.
Riverview 220 will be built across the street from the CATA Transportation Center on South Grand Avenue. It will provide 56 apartments for low-income families as well as a retail space.
LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - A restaurant chain in Lansing wants to make sure children in foster care can find their forever home.
Wendy’s in downtown Lansing is holding a donation drive to help benefit the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption. Dave Thomas is the founder of Wendy’s. The foundation is a non-profit that helps find adoptive families for children in the foster care system.

As we ponder our downtown these days, most of us think of government offices (drastically reduced by the exodus of 30,000 state workers since COVID); the traditional central business district with its slowly and steadily growing retail and restaurant offerings; emerging arts and entertainment entities (Grewal Hall and, under construction, the Ovation); well-regarded colleges such as LCC; and, most exciting, significant new residential development.

LANSING — Michigan officials gave a green light Tuesday to the New Vision Lansing project, finalizing more than $200 million in tax and other incentives for the project, which covers the next 30 years.
