LANSING — Mayor Andy Schor delivered his seventh State of the City speech Tuesday, this time with a promise that “Lansing’s time is now.”
Standing at the lectern in the new Grewal Hall in downtown Lansing, Schor gave his speech fresh off wins and setbacks from a Monday City Council meeting.
LANSING, Mich. (WILX) – 3 new projects are coming to Downtown Lansing aiming to create a buzz and draw more people downtown.
The project is said to cost nearly $230 million and of that money $40 million is coming from a state grant. Paul Gentilozzi and his son, John Gentilozzi are planning to build a high rise along with 2 other structures less than a mile from the Capitol.
“As I walk down the middle of the street, in the summer, at noon, there was no one. It was post-COVID and it was very discouraging,” said Paul Gentilozzi.
LANSING — Bobcat Bonnie’s will open its first Lansing-area location Thursday in the historic former Clara’s Lansing Station.
The opening was announced Wednesday on the restaurant’s Facebook page.
LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) – An innovation in culinary investments is planning to open to the public in the summer of 2024 – featuring 16 concepts with a variety of food and drink offerings.
It’s the Macotta Club and it will inhabit the iconic Knapp’s Department Store Building – now known as Knapp’s Centre – at South Washington Sq. and Washtenaw St.
“We’re looking forward to just rebuilding downtown into a diverse, exciting place that everyone can see themselves in,” says Julie Reinhardt, community development director for Downtown Lansing, Inc.
