Downtown Lansing is gearing up for one of its most anticipated fall traditions — Trick or Treat on the Square, happening Friday, October 24, from 5-7 pm.
Families from across the region will gather along Washington Square for an evening filled with candy, costumes, and community spirit. The annual event has become a highlight of the season, drawing thousands of visitors who come to celebrate Halloween in the heart of the city.
Last year’s festivities attracted more than 3,300 guests, with over 40 local businesses and community partners joining in to pass out candy, host activities, and create a lively, family-friendly atmosphere. By activating storefronts and sidewalks with local artistry, the event connects residents and visitors alike with Lansing’s local businesses and cultural heartbeat.
Whether it’s the sight of little ghosts and superheroes parading through downtown, or the joy of neighbors coming together, Trick or Treat on the Square continues to showcase the best of Lansing — fun, safe, and full of energy. Mark your calendar for October 24, and be part of the tradition that brings Lansing’s downtown to life every fall.
