This month, we’re proud to recognize Rachel Beatty, a community leader whose passion for art, storytelling, and the places that make up our city has left a mark on Downtown Lansing.
Rachel serves on our Design & Public Spaces Committee and our Legendary Women of Lansing subcommittee. For her, public spaces are more than somewhere to pass through. They reflect who we are as a community, and she treats every project with that in mind.
What sets Rachel apart is how she pairs creativity with action. She sees the potential in every idea, draws others into the conversation, and is never afraid to roll up her sleeves and turn a concept into something real. Whether she’s helping organize a downtown clean-up day, supporting the installation of public art, or connecting community members and partners, Rachel makes things happen. This dedication was recently recognized when Rachel received the Design Committee Volunteer of the Year Award at DLI’s Evening of Excellence.
Outside of her volunteer work, Rachel is the Marketing Manager at Legends Global, where she will be helping to bring Lansing’s Silver Bells celebration to life on November 20th.
