When it comes to the history of Lansing, Lastronauts know to turn to Bill Castanier – Lansing resident and member of the Historical Society of Greater Lansing.
Maybe you’ve read one of his stories in the Lansing City Pulse, attended a walking tour led by Castanier, visited Lansing’s all-new Historical Society of Greater Lansing Museum, or seen one of the exhibits that he put countless hours into creating – all to tell the stories of the people and places of Michigan’s Capital City!
Bill is being recognized as DLI’s November Volunteer of the Month based on a couple recent projects where his expertise and knowledge of historically and architecturally significant buildings, important women throughout Lansing’s history, will allow you to take your own interactive tour of downtown and learn who – and what – has shaped the downtown and City of Lansing that we love today.
Thank you Bill for all you do to make the past present in our minds and hearts.
