As the seasons transition and head into this season of gratitude, I find myself reflecting on all that I have to be thankful for serving as the Executive Director of Downtown Lansing Inc. Because there is so much to be thankful for right here in Michigan’s Downtown.
As a volunteer-let non-profit organization, so much of the work we do relies on partners and people like you! From the volunteers who constantly give of themselves during Fall clean-up days, who show up each month to actively plan Downtown programs, projects and events. To the business owners and their employees who pour their hearts into their products, business, and customer care. The developers who dream big and see opportunity. Then there’s the artists to be thankful for. Those who beautify our community with window art and other installations, who bring beautiful music, clothing, dance and culture to the streets and galleries of our community. To the residents who inform, connect with each other and share their vision of what Downtown can and should be. To our neighbors and partners who invest in, champion, celebrate and participate in events and projects that make our community truly unique. And to those who visit and choose to shop, dine and support downtown.
Thank you all for being a part of Downtown Lansing’s transformation – together we’re building a more vibrant, welcoming, and resilient future for Michigan’s Downtown.
Sincerely,
Cathleen Edgerly
Executive Director, Downtown Lansing Inc.
