Taking place on May 17 and May 18, you don’t want to miss this weekend full of festivities celebrating everything that makes Michigan’s Capitol City truly special.
Organized by a collective of local businesses and cultural organizations, 517 Day is a giant celebration of all things 517, showcasing the vibrant culture and community spirit that defines our beloved city. Friday, May 17: 517 Day at the Lansing Shuffle
On Friday, May 17th, kick off the celebrations at Lansing Shuffle, located at 325 Riverfront Drive. From 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM, immerse yourself in the art, food, and music of the 517 as you dance the day away and try out delicious local cuisine. Performers include Corzo Effect, the School of Rock and DJ Metro Melik.
Saturday, May 18: The Best of Lansing Festival
The Best of Lansing Festival, presented by Lansing 5:01, is a FREE event transforming Downtown Lansing into a playground for people of all ages with larger-than-life inflatables and obstacle courses on the Capitol Lawn, over 100 vendors featuring Lansing’s finest creations, and showcasing the Lansing City Pulse’s Top of the Town winners.
During the event, you can also head on over to the 100-400 blocks of S. Washington Square to check out many of your favorite Downtown businesses, get access to exclusive promotions and sales and enjoy fun activities hosted all across the square.
