Did you know that Downtown is a social district? Wander Downtown with a drink from one of the participating restaurants, as the social district allows patrons to carry their alcoholic drink out of the restaurant and walk about as long as they stay in the designated boundaries.
If you want a drink within the Downtown social district, go to an established participating business and order a “social district beverage,” and they will make a drink of your choice with a specially labeled disposable container. Hours for Lansing’s social district are Sunday through Thursday, 9 am to 10 pm, and Fridays and Saturdays, 9 am to midnight.
Participating restaurants include:
- Capitol City Grille
- Courtyard by the Marriott
- Grewal Hall at 224
- Lansing Brewing Company
- Lansing Shuffle
- Midtown Brewing Company
- MP Social
- Tin Can Bar
- Nuthouse Sports Grill and more
The boundaries are East and West – Washington to Pere Marquette St., and North and South E Shiawassee to Lenawee.
Check out more participating businesses and a map of the district at DLI’s Downtown Social District page.
