LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — Lights, camera, Lansing. The 16th Annual Capital City Film Festival is now underway, bringing 10 days of film, music, and immersive art to downtown Lansing.

Organizers say the festival has grown into a major event, drawing filmmakers and creatives from across the country and around the world.

“And I think there’s 125 films that more than 90 filmmakers are coming to support from around the globe,” said Jason Gabriel, co-founder of the Capital City Film Festival. “And that is huge that we can have this nexus of creatives coming together in the capital city.”

Gabriel says the selection process is competitive, with hundreds of submissions reviewed each year.
