Collage, unlike artist Jane Rosemont’s work in photography and filmmaking, is immediate, spontaneous, and tactile. Her process begins with nothing but the urge to create, without concern for the outcome. Colors, textures, and images within reach begin to guide her. As the fragments start to cohere, they often — almost inevitably — become a human face or form.
