Common Ground Music Festival  Common Ground Music Festival takes place annually in downtown Lansing, along the banks of the Grand River in Adado Riverfront Park. This annual celebration features an outstanding lineup of musical acts, focusing on top-level, national and regional music performers of many genres. 'Inspiration' Sculpture

North of the Lansing City Market on the riverfront

The 20-foot tall, 2,000-pound, $225,000 sculpture by James Russell has been funded entirely be private donors including the Rotary foundation, Dart Foundation, the Capital Region Community Foundation, Cooley Law School, Auto Owners Insurance and more.

The sculpture is located just north of the Lansing City Market on the riverfront.

Several memorials, monuments and statues can be found on the grounds of the Michigan Capitol including the Austin Blair Statue, Michigan Sharpshooters Monument, the Grand Army of the Republic Memorial, and the Spanish-American War Memorial.

This 16 block commercial district includes the area of Washington Square, Grand Avenue, Capitol Avenue, Michigan Avenue, Allegan Street, Washtenaw Street, Kalamazoo Street, Lenawee Street and Townsend Street. Some significant historic buildings within the district include the Boji Tower, J.W. Knapps, Masonic Temple, State Capitol, Mutual Building, Ottawa Power Station, and the Union Depot. The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on July 31, 2009.

The Greater Lansing Area Sports Hall of Fame, located in Lansing Center, features momentos, jerseys, and photographs of the Capital City's star athletes. The Hall runs along Lansing Center's Riverview and Michigan avenue concourses.
